We thank all authors, who submitted their abstract for PSE2024 in Time. We received enough abstracts to fill the Conference schedule completely.
The number of abstracts submitted for PSE2024 is comparable to PSE2022. The distribution of the abstracts to the topics is 5 % for Plasma and ion source, 35 % for Process technologies, 42 % for Properties and applications and 42 % for characterization and simulation and shows no significant differences to the former conferences. Slightly changes occurred in the single topic distribution. As in the last years, top topics were PVD coatings as well as protective and tribological coatings. Slightly increases occurred in the topics optical, electrical, and magnetic coatings as well as plasma diagnostics. Coatings for energy applications were addressed on high level too as in the last year. New topics with abstract submissions are ALD-Technologies and environmental applications.
The PSE2024 Conference Chairman will meet next week to configurate the sessions for the upcoming conference and prepare the reviewing process. According to the large request of a longer submission time, the abstract submission will stay open until February 15, 2024. Afterwards the abstract reviewing must be started to stay in time.
