The Partner Country of PSE2024 was Austria. During PSE2024 the Country and their community of Plasma Surface Engineering were presented specially. For this purpose a Partner Country Workshop was organized together with Thomas Müller, Rübig GmbH & Co. KG from Wels and ASMET | The Austrian Society for Metallurgy and Materials.
We thank the austrian community for their engagement during the Partner Country period. We enjoyed the Workshop with 75 participants in Wels, Austria very much. The Partner Country Session during PSE2024 was a great success. Many thanks to Christian Mitterer for the excellent plenary presentation with the title „Responsible Surface Engineering for a Sustainable Future“ as well as the 20 speakers and 6 poster presenters from Autria. The Partner Country Area in the exhibition with the Austrian Map showed impressively the large Austrian Community of Plasma and Surface Technologies. We thank all austrian speakers for their talks and posters. With 42 participants from Austria this community was the second largest national delegation at PSE2024. A Special Thanks to our Partner Country Chairman, Thomas Müller from Rübig GmbH & Co. KG and the supporters of these activities, like Helmut Riedl, Wolfgang Waldhauser and Peter Polcik as well as ASMET.
Workshop “Energy Transition – When the answer resides in the coating”
November 13 – 14, 2023 | Wels, Austria
In the last two days about 75 Austrian experts discussed about solutions from surface technologies for the challenges of energy transition. In 27 talks the speakers presented their solutions for hydrogen economy, battery technologies, photovoltaics and for wind power. Many discussions and talks in the poster sessions showed the high interest in the topic. All guests were invited to visit the company RUBIG Technologies GmbH & Co. KG and got insites in the pratice of Rübigs hardenings technologies as well as the laboratory work.
The workshop was organized in cooperation with ASMET und Rübig in the frame of the partner country program of PSE2024. Austria will present their research landscape as well as their industrial partners at PSE2024 next year in Erfurt. Informations about international funding and cooperation possibilities will be presented to support international developments.
We thank all partners, that are involved in the activites for PSE2024 Partner Country 2024 – Austria.
